Maternity Wedding Dresses

There are some things that you need to consider before choosing a plus size wedding dress pattern. Bear in mind the type of wedding that you are having; whether it's a formal wedding, semi formal wedding or a casual wedding. If it is a formal wedding, you can go all out and splurge on a traditional floor length wedding gown, with a lace veil, ivory gloves and a train. If it is a more casual affair, you can opt a sheath dress with a pillbox hat. The next thing to remember is that the shape and silhouette of your plus size wedding dress patterns should not only look stylish, but also be comfortable. The best plus sized wedding dress styles are 'A' line pattern and empire line pattern. An A-line style in a fabric like satin or chiffon is good for women who are trying to conceal their tummy as it helps in elongating the body while distracting attention from the waistline. The narrowest part of any woman's body is just below her bust, so wearing an empire cut wedding gown helps to hide big hips and accentuates the bust area. You can go for fine detailing like sequins and beads to make the gown more eye-catching. Just make sure that sequins or embroidery is not done in an area which you do not want to draw attention to.

A deep neckline suits a curvy figure so go for boat necks or strapless gowns. If you choose a strapless gown, do remember to keep the skirt narrow and streamlined. Strictly avoid halter necks if you have a large bust as it will make you look out of proportion. For bottom heavy brides, finding a plus sized wedding dress pattern that is suitable for them can be a bit difficult. If you wear a too narrow skirt, you end up looking bigger than you actually are. The trick here is to camouflage your large bottom by going for a design that focuses on the upper part of the body. The best bet is to go for a corset style bodice with lace detailing. If you have flabby arms and want to conceal them, wear a bolero jacket in white beads to go with your wedding dress. Avoid wearing puffed sleeves as it will make you look bulky. If you are short and curvy, you should opt for an off shoulder wedding dress which is fitted till the thighs and then gently flare out at the bottom. This makes you look taller and shapely. Also consider the colors that will look good on you. You don't need to stick to pure white if it does not suit you. You can go for different shades of white like off white, pearly white, pinkish white, natural white and champagne.
